HOW TO HELP: BAS LAND FUND, EARTH SHARE AND OTHER SUPPORT
Bexar Audubon Society welcomes donations of funds for operations and for its land fund. We also welcome volunteer support.
The Bexar Audubon Society Land Fund focuses its resources to direct habitat conservation projects in south central Texas. This program allows us to collaborate with other organizations truly committed to conservation as well as our own initiatives. Bexar Audubon is especially well known for steadfast support of water-quality initiatives in the Texas Hill Country. The fund also has the flexibility to work in other areas and will be instrumental in preserving Latin American habitats as well.
The land fund is used for the
purchase, preservation and/or enhancement of wildlife habitat. Past examples
have included donations to Houston Audubon Society for additions to the Bolivar
Flats preserve, Audubon Texas for habitat enhancements at the Mitchell Lake
Wildlife Refuge and Audubon Center in San Antonio, Texas Cave Management
Association for acquisition of Deep Cave and Punkin Cave, and Texas Nature
Conservancy for acquisition of key terrain near the Bracken Cave bat colony. To
make donations, contact treasurer@bexaraudubon.org or mail donations to Bexar Audubon Society Land Fund,
P.O. Box 6084, San Antonio, TX 78209
Bexar Audubon also benefits from donations to Earth Share.
