February 1 Audubon Program

Thursday, February 1 ● 7:00 PM San Antonio Zoo Education Center

The Pantanal of Brazil

Presenter: Kathy Adams Clark

Join Kathy Adams Clark as she takes you on a journey into the Pantanal. See images of Pantanal’s amazing wildlife, including jaguars, caiman, giant river otter, Amazon Kingfisher, Black-collared Hawk, and Jabiru stork. The Pantanal is said to be the largest wetland in the world. Located in western Brazil on the border of Bolivia and Paraguay, the Pantanal was once an inaccessible area with limited tourism. Birdwatchers, photographers and eco-tourists flock to the area today thanks to the Transpantanal Highway and several eco-lodges.

Kathy has been a professional nature photographer since 1995, and she runs the stock agency KAC Productions that represents the work of 15 photographers. Her photos appear every week in the “Nature” column in the Houston Chronicle written by her husband, Gary Clark. Kathy and Gary have published 10 books and have one more in the works.
